CSRD landed. Scope 3 is everywhere and nowhere.

Most ESG teams we work with have the same three problems — and adding headcount stopped being a viable answer the moment CSRD bit.

01

Scope 3 data lives in 14,000 supplier PDFs

Supplier questionnaires come back as PDF tables, free-text answers, or nothing at all. Reconciling them to your carbon platform is a manual quarterly grind.

02

CSRD/ESRS is 1,000+ datapoints

ESRS E1, E2, E3, E4, E5 stack into a single sustainability statement. Each datapoint needs sourced evidence and methodology disclosure your audit committee will defend.

03

Audit-grade methodology vs free-text suppliers

Your assurance provider wants cited, traceable, reconcilable numbers. Your suppliers send a one-pager. AI without an audit trail makes the gap worse, not better.

Sustainability AI with the audit trail bolted on first.

We build AI systems that pass limited assurance and (in time) reasonable assurance — not AI demos that look good in a board-level ESG update.

  • Supplier-data extraction at scale PDF questionnaires, scope-by-scope spreadsheets, scanned utility bills · OCR + structured extraction + cross-period reconciliation. With confidence bands and a human-in-the-loop escalation lane.
  • Emission factor mapping & methodology disclosure Every activity-data point mapped to a cited emission factor (DEFRA / ADEME / EPA / IEA / GHG cross-sector). Methodology disclosure auto-attached, ready for your assurance pack.
  • CSRD/ESRS draft generation ESRS E1–E5 narrative drafts generated from your underlying data, with every paragraph traceable to a sourced datapoint. Your team edits; the audit trail stays.
  • Cross-period variance & drill-down YoY variance flagged by scope and category, with drill-down to the supplier doc or invoice that drove the move. Restatements are explainable, not panic-attacks.

Total gross Scope 1 emissions for FY26 amount to 8,420 tCO₂e [cited ¶2.4-S1, internal energy register], a 4% reduction against the FY25 baseline. The reduction is attributable to the decommissioning of two LPG-fired boilers at the Lyon facility (Q2) and a switch to renewable heat at Mulhouse (Q3). Scope 2 market-based emissions totalled 2,184 tCO₂e, a 18% YoY decrease following the full-year contribution of the FY25 PPA. Scope 3 emissions of 48,612 tCO₂e increased 8% YoY, driven by purchased-goods volume growth in line with revenue.

What our engagements typically deliver.

faster Scope 3 close than the previous cycle
90% supplier-data automation across PDFs & sheets
6–10 weeks kick-off to production

Tell us about your sustainability close.

A 30-minute call. We will look at one actual close cycle (under NDA) and tell you which AI use case to ship first — and which to leave alone until your methodology is locked.

  • NDA in place before the call — ESRS drafts welcome.
  • We will say if a use case crosses your assurance perimeter.
  • You leave with a one-page scoped roadmap, even if you do not engage.

Common questions before we talk.

Do you replace our carbon accountant?

No. We make your existing carbon team 3× faster on Scope 3 close, with cited sources your auditor can sign on. Methodology decisions stay with your team.

Can we keep using our current carbon platform (Watershed, Persefoni, Sweep, Net0)?

Yes. We sit beside it, not in place of it — pulling structured supplier data, emission factors, and CSRD/ESRS extracts into the platform you already use. We have integrations into Watershed, Persefoni and the major Greenhouse Gas inventory tools.

Which emission factor library do you use?

Whichever your methodology calls for. We have wired in DEFRA (UK), ADEME Base Empreinte (FR), EPA, IEA, and the GHG Protocol's cross-sector factors. We do not invent factors and we do not pick one without your sign-off.

How do you scope and engage?

Every engagement is scoped after a 30-minute discovery call and a review of one actual close cycle. We send a written, fixed-scope proposal — with timeline, deliverables, and a transparent quote — within 5 working days.
